“Alfredo”

Alfredo was our goofy, silly pup from Racing Champion, Clovis and AKC Conformation Champion, Bella.

His greatest joy in life was any type of reunion - whether we had been gone for an hour or two, or were just in the next room, any reunion was cause for much butt & tail waggling, body wiggling, snorting, and moaning and groaning his delighted greetings.

From the time he was a very tiny pup, Alfredo was a "roacher" (preferring to sleep on his back, like a dead roach - a common sighthound pose). He carried this trait into adulthood, and was the whippet most often found relaxing upside down - often with one foot extended straight up into the air. He also passed this trait on to his kids and grandkids.

He was an 'equal-opportunity snuggler' and seemed to be friends with every dog in the household. He was generally very easy-going, and just a very fun dog to be around.

Alfredo’s unique super power was his ‘helicopter’ tail wag. He didn’t just wag from side to side, but instead would get his tail going in giant circles when he was especially happy. We could even get him to do it by singing the chorus “Circle tail… circle tail” to him, which would increase the rotation speed until you might expect him to take flight at any moment.
